This VKNJA Steel Mace program was created to scale through the complexity of Steel Mace multiplanar training. In addition to our existing lineup of Steel mace programs, Mindful Mechanics is an excellent way to optimize conditioning, understand complex sequence patterns and improve grip orientation. Furthermore this programs targets each area of the body through mindful engagement which will help refine Steel Mace movements in a precise, manageable way. This is a unique component to the VKNJA Steel Mace system. A place to calculate, mix and transition exercises that carry over to give you great results. Mentally and physically.

When you have trained enough to the point of acclimation, you may level up your Steel Mace weight, and find out how much more challenging it is to control the lever. This is focused training that is geared to make the training process more efficient by keeping the mind working with every move you make.

If this program becomes too challenging as you progress through it, we recommend taking a step back and refining skills from our Steel Mace 101 or Heavy Steel Mace 101

Meet your Team Leader

Erik “Esik” Melland

Esik is a certified TACFIT Team Leader with over 10 years of experience in the protocols of TACFIT. His evolution led him to develop training methods with steel mace. As a Steel Mace Master Coach, he became founder of Viking Ninja and is currently the CEO.

A sought after personal trainer, his career has led him to train clients in the NFL, UFS, MLB and NHL. He’s also an accomplished writer, music producer, photographer, creative director and content director.

He brings the heart of a warrior to his role as the TACFIT US Director. His personal discipline is infused in every workout, and his leadership inspires us to assimilate his life’s motto, “Kill your ego, challenge your discipline.”

What’s most unique about the Steel Mace is the disproportionate weight it provides. You will learn to experience various levels of dynamic motion and transitions, and deftly counter offset weight and activation methods that keep you safe while challenging your core and proficiency.

The Steel Mace is also an effective recovery tool. Implement slow and controlled movements on low intensity and recovery days to develop muscle adaptation. Learn how to improve your mobility, flexibility, and strengthen all the muscles and connective tissues around the joints — this means less chance for injuries, better balance and coordination, improved performance in sports, and better posture.
