The Scott Sonnon Vintage Programs Collection Includes:

  • Bayonet
  • Arthrokinetics
  • Immovable Object Unstoppable Force
  • Grappler’s Toolbox
  • Zdorovye
  • Vintage Impact Conditioning (Shock Ability, Leg Fencing, and Fisticuffs)

Scott Sonnon Vintage Programs Collection (Over a $400 Value) is a curated digital archive of Sonnon’s foundational, pre–CST®/TACFIT® era training, where combat skill, conditioning, and health are treated as one integrated discipline. Across striking, grappling, throwing, and restorative physical culture, the package emphasizes transferable principles over rote technique: biomechanical efficiency, force absorption and redirection, nervous-system skill acquisition, and the coordination of breathing, alignment, and movement.

Included programs (originally in VHS formats) span rare lineage material and deep technical frameworks: Bayonet presents an unbroken bayonet fencing and fighting lineage linked to ROSS and Spetsnaz training; Arthrokinetics is a detailed joint-mechanics “encyclopedia” for accelerating submission innovation in grappling and MMA; IOUF builds a complete throwing system from Hyperfunction through Quantum Gripping to Joint Mass Center control; Grappler’s Toolbox develops fluid, resilient movement through biomechanical preparedness and “shadow grappling”; Zdorovye – Nature’s Legacy rebuilds natural health via somatic engineering and a Recover → Coordinate → Refine progression; and Vintage Impact Conditioning applies “shock engineering” to forge whole-body striking capacity, mobility, and durable strength with minimal preparation time.

Bayonet and Arthrokinetics Programs

Bayonet is the video introduction to this never-before-seen direction of ROSS Training System, as taught to the Russian Special Forces “Spetsnaz”. Scott Sonnon, USA National Bayonet Fencing Team Coach trained extensively with the Spetsnaz throughout Russia and CIS countries. In this program, he presents the ONLY living, unbroken lineage of Bayonet fencing and fighting in existence.

Arthrokinetics is a vintage, example-rich “encyclopedia” in which Scott Sonnon—drawing on his Sambo and catch-wrestling background—analyzes how joints function and fail during a fight and translates that into a systematic framework for creating submissions in grappling and MMA; by focusing on the mechanics and principles behind submission control rather than relying solely on years of intuitive refinement, it aims to accelerate skill development and help practitioners innovate their own personalized submission strategies faster.

Immovable Object Unstoppable Force and Grappler’s Toolbox Programs

IOUF (Immovable Object Unstoppable Force) by Scott Sonnon teaches throwing and throw defense from virtually any position by reducing throws to transferable biomechanical principles—anatomy, physics, and mental components—using practical examples, setups, and solo/partner drills rather than rote technique memorization. Across three parts, it builds from Hyperfunction (Triangle Point, joint loading, force vectors, articulation, gripping), to Quantum Gripping (confirmation/counter/release strategies, frames, forearm rotation, counter-grasps, jacket/leg fencing, power transfer, parallel/concurrent vectors), and culminates in Joint Mass Center (controlling the “middle” via 3D hyperfunction, figure-8 movement, tactical footwork, stance integrity), finishing with progressive partner training and “throw renovation” that applies the principles to traditional throws and common grappling scenarios.

Grappler’s Toolbox is built on Scott Sonnon’s journey to engineer learnable, repeatable methods for developing the fluid grace seen in elite grapplers across Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Sambo, and Wrestling—especially for practitioners who aren’t naturally gifted—drawing from his Olympic-level coaching background and competitive success. The program’s “biomechanical exercises” serve as specific physical preparedness: they create a safety valve for recovering when movement deviates under the chaos of fighting, strengthen connective tissue and joint structures in three dimensions, and provide a “shadow grappling” movement model that helps the nervous system refine technique even without a partner; used as a warm-up or off-season conditioning, consistent practice over about 60 days is intended to significantly elevate mat performance by rewiring coordination and resilience.

Zdorovye and Vintage Impact Conditioning Programs

Zdorovye – Nature’s Legacy is a Slavic-derived health and movement system adapted by Scott Sonnon for Western audiences, grounded in the idea that stress and trauma undermine health by fragmenting the interdependent cycle of breathing, structural alignment, and movement; it defines health as the quality and synergy of these three “virtues” and uses somatic engineering exercises to restore natural efficiency, energy, poise, grace, and vitality. The method trains through Dykhaniye (breathing), Polozheniye (alignment), and Dvizheniye (movement), progressing via a “Recover → Coordinate → Refine” pathway across novice to advanced levels (and within each exercise) to build three-dimensional mobility, connective-tissue resilience, and center-of-gravity control, with claimed benefits such as improved energy, mobility, power, efficiency, and reduced injury risk, fear, and stress.

Vintage Impact Conditioning (VIC) is Scott Sonnon’s three-part legacy package—Shock Ability, Leg Fencing, and Fisticuffs—originally released on VHS, focused on martial arts conditioning through energy management, strategic force administration, and biomechanical efficiency rather than high-intensity-for-its-own-sake training. Positioned as an early bridge from Soviet sport-fighter preparation to Sonnon’s later CST® and TACFIT® systems, VIC uses a structured “shock engineering” approach to acclimate the body to absorbing, neutralizing, redirecting, and delivering force efficiently, aiming for maximum effect with minimal prep time while building whole-body striking capacity, resilient strength, mobility, and coordination for MMA and related combat contexts.
