The certification then ends with in-person weekends in Rome at the TACFIT gym, Roma Legion. (Note: As an option, candidates who do not wish to be in-person can complete their certification completely online.)
This HYBRID certification process is offered to both new candidates and those who need to re-certify, as well as for anyone who simply seeks to deepen their knowledge of the TACFIT system.

TACFIT Level 1 Field Instructor Certification
Open to new instructor candidates, those who need to recertify, or for anyone just looking to deepen their knowledge of the TACFIT system.
Becoming a Field Instructor means not just being certified in TACFIT but joining a global team of people with the same passion, values and training protocols as you. Through this Certification, we want our students to prepare themselves with a deep understanding of our systems to better transmit the same to their athletes and clients.
Becoming a Field Instructor is the equivalent of a two-year Associate’s degree. You learn how to implement the tools, time, techniques and technology. You personally experience the depth in each of the steps, and all of the breadth in the wide range of modalities. This will give you the 6 energy protocols and 4 levels of complexity in the 26 foundational workouts, using our powerful toolbox of low-tech, high-yield solutions: Clubbells, Kettlebells, Sandbags, Medicine Balls, Gymnastics Rings, Plyometric Boxes, Parallettes, Pull-up Bars and Bodyweight Movement. You are certified to teach within your department only.
When you register for the Level 1 Certification, you will receive access to the TACFIT ACADEMY online platform, which contains the necessary material for preparation in and through the certification process. It is not mandatory to follow the preparation, but it is strongly recommended.
Level 1 Dates:
ACADEMY:
- Start of the training program: September 28
- Academy WS 1 Level 1 – October 17. Recorded and available to the student.
- Academy WS 2 Level 2 – October 31st. Recorded and available to the student.
CERTIFICATION:
- Level 1: November 21 and 22 (This can be live in Rome with face-to-face exam on Sunday, or you can optionally choose to do live online streaming exams)
- Streaming Exam – November 28, with Team Leader and sending video to Master Trainer

TACFIT Level 2 Senior Instructor Certification
This level applies to those who have a minimum of one year teaching and training as a TACFIT Level 1 Certified Instructor. The Senior Instructor has a training plan similar to Level 1 but with different objectives and structure, since he/she will also receive access to the TACFIT platform, which contains the complete ACADEMY preparation specific to his/her level.
Becoming a Senior Instructor involves joining the TACFIT Educational Team, assisting Master Trainers and Team Leaders in effectively sharing the principles of the system while training other fitness professionals who agree to abide by the TACFIT standards.
The Senior Instructor has the ability to teach other instructors and to help with certification preparations, tailoring and customizing mobility and compensation drills to meet lifestyle and occupational needs of a varied population.
This Level 2 Certification includes:
- Applying the Tactical Movement Screen, not merely as a pre-assessment but how to screen, downshift, re-engage and up-shift into the full exercise.
- All four levels of the Alpha Zulu Program, including the adaptation of exercises through regressions and progressions
- Coaching best practices, developing your own coaching psychology, and a complete toolbox of techniques to prepare you to successfully teach a group.
Level 2 Dates:
The Training Academy preparation period will start on September. the 28th, but the training will begin when the student registers for the process and his or her candidacy is approved by TACFIT. The Schedule will be:
