Meet Our Team
THE ORIGINATORS BEHIND TACFIT FIREFIGHTER
Ryan Provencher, TACFIT Firefighter Division
My passion for physical fitness began at a young age. I Idolized action heroes such as Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I started lifting weights with my dad in our garage at age 13, and I embraced the bodybuilding mentality for the next 20 years. I was able to achieve great gains in strength and size, but unfortunately for me, these attributes did not translate into improved athleticism. At that time, my fitness level was only measured by the amount of weight that I could bench press.
Finding my first calling – firefighting
I joined the Fire Service in 1993. I loved team sports growing up and was drawn to the “process of preparation” required to be successful in athletics, academics, and overcoming other challenges…

Alaina Sawaya, TACFIT Firefighter Division
I am Alaina Sawaya – highly competitive, passionate and perpetually looking for ways to grow my capabilities. I have an insatiable drive to live fully; to be faster, stronger, smarter, healthier, more resilient and more deeply connected with the people I love.
Not just a fitness shift… a paradigm shift
Pursuing high standards led me to discovering TACFIT, where I met Scott Sonnon, the founder of TACFIT. The more I studied his work and shadowed his techniques, the more I discovered not just a confluence of radically intelligent training principles, but the source of a paradigm shift in my way of thinking.
Over the years I have failed hard. And failure has taught me to become more intentional in my habits and more closely aligned with my values.

Alberto Crane, TACFIT CEO
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always had this desire to be the best. I discovered Jiu Jitsu in high school and was so fascinated with it that I moved to Brazil shortly after high school and trained at the Gracie Barra Academy in Rio De Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. In 2001, I was the first American to receive a black belt under Gracie Barra’s renowned Professor Draculino and Master Carlos Gracie, Jr.
King of the Cage
In 2002, I began my career in MMA. I was King of the Cage Lightweight Champion and Ring of Fire Champion and I had the opportunity to fight in Asia, Latin America, Europe and in the UFC. What I’m most proud of – out of my 15 wins, I have 14 submissions; always representing Jiu-Jitsu.
